I’m a credit councilor and I spend my days helping people find ways to work out a budget they can stick with, to help them get out of debt so they can get on with their lives. Something I see very often is that money problems often lead to family problems including divorce and breakups among formerly happy couples. The hardest part of making a workable budget for most people is staying within that budget while trying to find a new relationship. Most people think that dating needs to be expensive, and the fact is that is really doesn’t have to be if you do it intelligently.
As one simple example, most people invite a first date to go out to dinner. If you examine the menus at any restaurants, you’ll quickly find that taking a date to breakfast or lunch can save you as much as 40% of the restaurant bill without altering the quality of the meal or the dating experience. For people whose hours have been cut back, making plans during the day to date others is easier than you might think at first.
A common claim is that dating at night is necessary because going out to the clubs and bars is the easiest place to meet people, but that also isn’t true. It’s a total scam to think that meeting people that way is necessary; it’s a scam that club owners perpetuate because it helps them earn more of your money every time you visit them.
Take a look at a site like Fling.com when you have a free moment. Instead of spending $12 on each drink and $150 on dinner, why not meet people online for free and arrange an afternoon of entertainment that would not only be more likely to help you find someone worth dating… but would be infinitely easier to fit within your budget as well!
Sometimes saving money means thinking outside the box. Simple changes in the ordinary pattern of your life can simultaneously add new excitement and significant savings to dating and other activities as well. You’ll see some people posting that dating sites are a scam, but ill bet you dollars to doughnuts that those are the same club owners and bar owners who have been scamming you all along… fearful that you’ll find out there are better and cheaper ways to meet the love of your life, or to find the next hot fling.

As more people become connected online it seems only fitting that so many would now be joining the growing pool of people who visit online dating sites like Fling.com, skeptical at first and perhaps too carefree eventually. One of the goals in writing this Blog is to help people realize the responsibilities that come along with the excitement of online dating. I am a social worker and I council people dealing with teenage pregnancy. One thing I have heard time and again is “when I started using a dating site I figured it would just be a scam and nothing would come of it.” In fact, dating sites like Fling.com do work, and they may actually work all too well!
Contrary to what some people may believe, dating sites really do make it quite easy for people to meet new potential partners, and also make it far easier to make casual connections with others for short term, high energy, intimate interactions. While dating online is safe and effective, sometimes it becomes so easy to meet a man or woman online that people forget to take the precautions they would if they were meeting someone offline.
Sexually transmitted diseases are real, pregnancy is possible, and while there is no method of birth control or STD prevention more effective than abstinence, it would be silly to think that people will refrain from meeting others for casual sex now that sites like Fling.com make it so easy for people to do.
Be sure to bring a condom, never rely on the other person to have one with them. Never assume that the date will end without any intimacy. In fact, most dates arranged online do result in some kind of physical intimacy because of the feelings of familiarity that come along with having met the other person online and gotten to know them prior to the first meeting in person. Put simply, when you go out to play… be sure to play safe!

I’m a 27 year old woman with a young child and I recently became a widow when my husband passed away eleven months ago. Ever since that happened my life became slow and lethargic… I hardly ate or went out at all. Finally, when the grief started to subside I began trying to meet people. It was always really difficult because honestly I didn’t want anything long term. You can call me a slut if you want, but seriously, after going through what I went through I just wanted someone to see a movie with, to laugh with, to sit on the beach with… and yeah, someone to touch would be nice too!
I became a member of Fling.com and it really did help me get my life back. The great thing with Fling is you can be who you want to be and you never have to feel like you are scamming anyone. The people on Fling are casual, they are looking to hookup and have a good time… nobody takes themselves too seriously and that means you can actually escape the sadness of your every day life any time you want.
I line up dates any day of the week, I never mention I have a son at home or that I am a widow because I don’t want to dwell on that during the romantic part of my life. One day Ill find someone and get more serious with them, but for now I am having the first fun I have had in years and its definitely carrying over to other parts of my life. I’m more patient at home, I’m doing better at work and my friends have even noticed the bounce in my step is starting to return.
That’s why when I read these idiots posting that Fling is a scam I get totally angry about it. Fling is free, so it can’t be a scam… and in many ways it saved my life – at the very least it completely saved my social life. I have met so many new friends, explored many parts of my personality more fully and gone from being a frowner five days a week to someone with a smile that never disappears. Get your own account, be honest about what you want (even if you tell some white lies about who you are) and you’ll do fine. Heck, maybe we might even meet for a drink sometime – wink!

Women are always debating about when is the right time to have sex with a new man. How many dates do you wait? How many days/weeks/month do you wait. Lets face it the days of waiting till marriage are long gone. But when is the right time to give up the goods? Some say 30 days, many say 90 days, most say once you both have agreed to commit to one another. I personal agree with the MOST, once you’re committed.
You see many women give up the goods way too soon causing them to never make it to the commitment stage. The reason for this is men don’t want to settle down with fast chicks. In their minds they are thinking, “if she gave it to me that quick she probably gave it to all the rest just as quick”. This is probably not true, but most won’t stick around long enough to figure that out.
When it comes to settling down and having a committed relationship most men tend to be very picky. They aren’t going to bring home just any random chick to meet mom. When it comes to making a women his own whether it’s his girlfriend or his wifey he’s going to want someone respectable and with a good reputation.
If you’re a woman just looking to have fun, by all means enjoy yourself and do you. However, if your a single woman looking to settle down you’re going to need to play a little hard to get. Take your time, get to know each other, show him you respect yourself and he’ll respect you more in return. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free!”. In other words why is a man going to settle down with you when he can get the goods without the commitment.

Two out of two lesbians would probably agree that Adam Levine knows the best way to bring awareness to prostate and testicular cancer. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is featured in the new issue of the US version of Cosmopolitan … and he is wearing absolutely nothing but a pair of hands to cover up his manhood.
Levin said that he encouraged men to check for signs of cancer. He also added “I spend most of my life naked..In fact, I often have to be told by the people around me that it’s inappropriate to be as naked as I am. But I live in California, where it’s always warm, so why not?”
I love a man who’s passionate about music as he is about important causes. Keep up the good work Adam!

What is it about these two that make them leave a bad taste in my mouth. The pair have been dating since last summer following Sandra Bullocks divorce last June. On Jan. 13, James Tweeted: “They say True love will always shine through. The only reason I started Twitter again? so I could publicly profess my love for @thekatvond.”
She responded: “Thank you always supporting me and believing in everything I do. But most of all, thanks for being my best friend.” Ok now. Time Out. If your a regular tweeter like I am, do those words not sound familiar to you when Jesse was married to Sandra. Ok, we get it, he’s allowed to be in love, but at least change the words up Jes!
