Founder of the Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University, Alfred Charles Kinsey has definitely earned his spot on the Playboy Top Ten Most Important People in Sex list.

His early research created the modern science of Sexology. An article in The New York Times written shortly after his death dealt with Kinsey’s work in such a taboo subject matter.
