New Online Dating Service GiveAndDate.com Launching May 27
Posted in Internet Dating

GiveAndDate.com, New York City’s first online dating website to match flirting with philanthropy, will launch May 27th, at an event hosted by Animal Haven, a Manhattan-based shelter for cats and dogs.
GiveAndDate.com aims to reclaim dating as something that makes you feel good about yourself. To contact featured singles, users must provide a donation to a partnered charity.
“We are targeting socially conscious singles looking for something beyond typical online dating,” said Charles Miller, one of the company’s founders. “But since we’re lowering the online dating stigma through giving, hopefully our service will appeal to everyone.”
GiveAndDate.com will also list upcoming volunteer opportunities taking place in the community, as well as opportunities for singles to get involved and meet others.
Offline, GiveAndDate.com will host events for its users from which proceeds will go directly to the partnered charities.
Animal Haven, one of the first GiveAndDate partnered charities, finds homes for abandoned cats and dogs throughout the Tri-State area, and provides behavior intervention when needed to improve chances of adoption. Founded in 1967, Animal Haven operates a limited admission shelter and adoption center in Manhattan and mobile adoption van. They also provide programs that enhance the bond between animals and people.
