A couple days ago, on May 12, 2009, Bravo Network premiered “Episode 1: Thicker Than Water” to kick off The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The Jersey edition is the fourth installment/spinoff of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives” series and is already making major waves in the media pool.

People.com noted the highlight of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, when they wrote: “You couldn’t blame Dina for being suspicious of Danielle, a 45-year-old mother of two, who gets stood up at a bar awaiting a stranger, known online as Gucci Model.”

For those unfamiliar with wealthymen.com, it is the premier online dating site for wealthy men, whom make six-figures or more, to look for potential girlfriends (sugar mama’s). The wealthy men are actually verified through the site as genuine rich guys. Still, there is no doubt that the encounter (or lack there of) between the Wealthy Men stud Gucci Model and Real Housewives Danielle was the most outrageous scene of the premiere, as the show ended with Danielle screaming obscenities into Gucci Model’s voice mail, as he never actually picked up.

Tom Shales of the Washington Post made the best comment, I’ve heard yet when he wrote: “Gucci Model’s cold feet deprived the producers of ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey’ with a potentially great — that is, cringe-worthy – scene…” Nonetheless, the drama has commenced and there will be plenty of fakes boobs, Million dollar homes and scraping in the weeks to come.
